Mobile Market
The Mobile Market was a farm stand on wheels that set up in different communities throughout New Orleans, including the 9th Ward, Hollygrove, and Broadmoor. By providing only fresh fruits and vegetables at affordable prices, the market increased food access among food-insecure families and seniors. The mobile market worked in conjunction with the Healthy HeartBeats Program, our peer-led education program to prevent and control cardiovascular disease. The market accepted cash, credit, FMNP, Veggie RX vouchers and SNAP.
SNAP Match
Our SNAP Match program increased the purchasing power of residents for fresh produce. Program participants received a match of up to $20.00 with Louisiana Purchase benefits to buy fresh fruits and vegetables at our markets.
